“We met Kate and Dave at a “details” night at our venue, and knew instantly that we wanted them to perform at our wedding. The dynamic of Dave’s piano and Kate’s vocals is beautiful, and Dave later brought the party atmosphere in the evening with a great DJ set! They were so chilled out throughout the planning process and wonderful to deal with, and the fact that they were flexible enough to perform a couple of songs that were special to us but not on their standard set list made the day that much more memorable. Our only regret is that we didn’t manage to record their performance! Thank you so much both!”

"We were lucky to see Kate and Dave perform at our friend's wedding back in 2018 and knew we would always want them at ours too! Kate's voice is incredible and Dave on the piano just blew us away. Our wedding was in the summer, so we had an outside drinks and canapes reception where Kate and Dave played and created the most wonderful atmosphere. It finished off the afternoon perfectly. They came back in the evening for a more upbeat approach for the party , and this did not disappoint! We had so many comments about how amazing the music was, and we couldn't have asked for a better wedding band for our big day. They perfect duo for any intimate celebration! It was essential to us to have a great soundtrack for us to boogie along to, whilst we said I do. Nothing was too much trouble for them, they were keen to learn new songs to meet our needs. Kate has such a beautiful voice and Dave has the musician magic and DJ mixing! “Kate and Dave were a no brainer for our wedding! We’d heard them play before and the versatility of Kate’s voice alongside the talented band meant we could have the broad variety on our wedding day we were after. Knowing the couple personally also allowed us to relax (very important when wedding planning!) as we knew how reliable and professional they are. 

They were great at helping us plan the music and played throughout our ceremony, drinks reception and evening as well as a mix of Dave’s DJing in between so there was lots to put together! We had very specific ideas and some unusual song choices for the ceremony and first dance which Kate and Dave learnt especially which made it so unique for us. We also kept our walking down the aisle and first dance songs a surprise and quite a few tears were shed as the renditions were so beautifully and emotionally played, which made our ceremony that extra bit special and personal. The evening had all our guests dancing well into the night, and the advice on the order of the set list went down a storm (As did the drinks!) We are still laughing at the groomsmen's dance to ‘proud Mary’! 

Couldn’t recommend these guys enough, an absolute pleasure to work with and with something as important as your wedding you can be sure to know they will pull out all the stops and blow your guests away!”

"Where do we start!? We knew we were on to something when filling out our booking request for Kate & Dave as it asked what our favourite songs were. This is just the beginning of the beautifully tailored service that they provide. Getting to know them over tea and cake one Sunday afternoon in the lead-up to our wedding added another personal touch - they are such lovely people and obviously get so much joy from what they do.  And you can genuinely see and hear this in their music. We had a trifecta of perfection from them - from the touching performance throughout our ceremony (which made a number of people cry, including the lady in charge of signing the register who obviously did not know us!), to the live set during pre-dinner drinks, to the funky disco - we honestly could not fault them at all and we've had so many comments from our guests attesting to this.  And the fact that we could ask them to learn a couple of songs that were special to us was a wonderful way of making our wedding exactly what we wanted without the stiffness of an iPod playing everything. Kate even filmed our first dance for us. What a delight they both are. Thank you so much, you were an instrumental part of our day and we will never forget it."

"We were lucky enough to experience Kate and Dave at a friend’s wedding and immediately knew ‘this is the band for us’. As soon as we got hitched our first call was to Kate and Dave to make sure that they were available and could perform for us and we are so glad we did as they made our day perfect. Kate, Dave and their band Groovestone are unbelievably talented and have such a diverse range when it comes to songs. In the service Kate and Dave really tapped into the mood adding to the atmosphere and bringing tears of joy to almost everyone….but especially me, the Groom! Apart from the mushy, lovey stuff though they also know how to ‘mash it up’ and throw a pretty good party. All of our guests were up dancing from start to finish and some of our evening guests commented saying that they thought they had walked into a music gig, not a wedding reception. But that is the vibe that we wanted, relaxed, hair down and a good time and Kate, Dave and Groovestone absolutely smashed it!"

They were very accommodating in our choice of songs and even learnt songs especially for our first dance and ceremony.

We hired the remainder of the band for the evening and both sets were fantastic with everyone young and old getting up to dance. We couldn't recommend this band highly enough to make your day even more special. "

We both instantly liked what Kate and Dave offered and matched the theme of our wedding perfectly.  They were great to work with in the run up to the wedding, very polite and very accommodating. On the day they they were very professional and were able set up and play without needing any input from us. The music was lovely, Kate's voice coupled with their arrangements of moderns songs was exceptional. All the guests were very impressed and we were delighted. In the evening Dave DJ'ed for us and did a great job. We provided some guidance and he delivered great song after great song keeping the dance floor packed all evening. Highly recommend these guys."

At A Most Curious Wedding Fair I saw Music by Kate and Dave perform, Kate’s voice just blew me away, I couldn’t wait to share it with Nick. They offer a great package too, we had them perform our ceremony music (this bought a tear to a few eyes!), during our drinks reception which created a great atmosphere and Kate also sang our first dance. "When we first started to plan the wedding, the music/band was the first thing we started to look for. I remember trawling through the internet listening to band after band who all seemed to perform the same selection of ten songs and all sounded like a generic wedding band that we had heard at every wedding we had been to. I knew after reading about 'Music by Kate and Dave' that I had to get in touch - and I'm so glad I did! Traditionally, wedding planning tends to bring quite a bit of stress, but the music is one part of the day we never had to worry about because we knew it was in such good hands. We absolutely loved hearing the live sets during the afternoon. To hear some of our favourite songs sung so beautifully was another brilliant memory. We had so many of our guests come up to us throughout the day and comment on what a great voice you have Kate and how brilliant you both were, and for that we thank you both. The first dance is also something that neither Callum or I will ever forget. Every word was sung perfectly and it was so special for us to be able to have something arranged like that for our day - thank you so much for taking the time to prepare it and rehearse it, we really mean it when we say it is something we will remember forever.

There are so many things we have to thank you for, thank you for travelling so far, thank you for taking so much care and time in arranging the music, thank you for always replying so quickly and keeping in touch, thank you for always being so enthusiastic about our suggestions and ideas, thank you for being so open minded and really making us feel like nothing was too much trouble but most of all thank you for helping us to create memories that we will have with us for a very long time."

Rachel walked down the aisle to ‘Higher Love’ by James Vincent McMorrow. ‘Sway’ by Bic Runga was performed during the signing of the register, and for the finale our love for Country music shone thru as Kate handed me my cowboy hat for their final song ‘Cowboy Take Me Away’ by Dixie Chicks. We were so pleased with their performances on the day, Kate and Dave kindly recorded all three songs for us in their London studio, giving us a priceless keepsake from the best day of our lives!"

It felt like Kate became a friend throughout the process and nothing was too much hassle; From the lead-up working on a beautiful bespoke song to walk me down the aisle which made the moment very special, to during the ceremony when Dave pulled out a trumpet as our guests sang "All You Need Is Love" which was such a personal touch, and finally the pre-recorded first dance mash up of songs tied everything together perfectly. Aside from personally genuinely enjoying working with Kate and Dave, all of our guests commented on what amazing singers we had, and 120 people can't be wrong! So any brides-to-be if I can offer you one piece of advice it would be to book Kate and Dave to sing at your wedding, it's the best stress-free decision you'll make."

"Kate and Dave performed 3 songs for our wedding. The first was one of our current favourite’s Jessie Ware ‘Running’, the arrangement was perfect for our sun-drenched ceremony, as it was really laid back but sung with real passion, Dave and Kate produced a recorded version of this which was used in our wedding video. The second was ’Baby Be Mine’ by Michael Jackson, which was done as a surprise, as a massive MJ fan I absolutely loved it and it was so nice to hear a completely original arrangement, such a great track and this was one of those great personal moments for me at our wedding, especially since the lyrics which are actually very relevant for a wedding! The third and final song Kate and Dave played was their version of Coldplay’s ‘Yellow’, this was one where we had some crowd participation as people sang along and was a great prelude to the first dance!  If you want personal versions of songs you love, Kate and Dave are to go-to people!"

I will never forget hearing all our guests singing along to Temper Trap inside the ancient Oakham Castle, it was an amazing moment. Kate's voice is exceptional, and together with the fantastic Dave on Keyboard, their performance was flawless, all of our guests commented on how wonderful it was, and how lovely it was to hear music at a civil ceremony.
